Our Training Philosophy
Our goal is to teach you how to use natural principles to build a more harmonious and enjoyable relationship with your dog. While traditional obedience training can foster strong cooperation, it does not always create companionship. We believe it is more important to teach your dog how to be rather than what to do, and we use the principles of dog psychology to help you change your dogs' behavior from the inside out. More importantly, we do this in a way that honors your dogs' instincts and communicates respect.
We view your work with us less as a service we offer, and more as a joint effort we engage in together in order to understand and adjust any missing links you may have in your relationship with your dog. Think of the work we do more like holistic therapy, wherein we help you find solutions that create better long term results.
What sets our training apart is our dedication to working with you and your dog as individuals. There are many factors that affect your dogs' behavior, and we take all of them into consideration when creating a plan for your family. We have successfully addressed many clients' behavior concerns, including aggression toward people and other animals, social and separation anxiety, and reactivity. We also offer programs that work with the human members of the family to develop new habits where necessary.
